The French satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo” caused a sensation recently, Meghan Markle after it published a cartoon described as “offensive” by Queen Elizabeth and former American actress, Meghan Markle.

The cover of the French magazine showed Queen Elizabeth putting her knee on Markle’s neck, similar to what the African American, George Floyd, was exposed to in 2020, and his death had led to widespread ethnic and human rights protests in the United States.

The magazine titled, “Why Did Meghan Leave Buckingham Palace?” Then Megan was pictured saying, “Because I couldn’t breathe.”

The phrase “the ability to breathe” was taken from George Floyd, who was complaining about his inability to catch a breath, when a Minneapolis police officer put his knee on his neck, in an accident that was documented by the camera.

The British newspaper “Daily Mail” wrote that this satirical drawing of the king was met with disapproval, and was described as false and horrific by the defenders of the kingdom.

Halima Begum, director of the “Rani Midi” Study Center for Ethnic Equality, criticized the drawing published by the French magazine, saying that “it is wrong, at any level, for there to be a comparison between the Queen of Britain and the incident of George Floyd.”

On the other hand, there are those who defended “Charlie Hebdo” magazine, considering that the magazine is specialized in satire, and this is not the first time that it publishes comics, and therefore there is no need for “the queen’s lovers to be angry”, because what is required is that they be cheerful, according to Say them.
