Is Israel abandoning Donald Trump?
“In the face of the possibility of change in the U.S. administration and deteriorating relations with Israel, the latter must continue to promote its common interests, political and economic relations, because for the first time in a long time, Israel faces a fateful U.S. presidential election that will have a major impact on the relations of the two countries, and on the challenges and opportunities that Israel will face in the face of the new U.S. regime,” an Israeli general said.

“If President Donald Trump is elected, the picture will be very clear for Israel, it is likely to continue on the path of isolating Iran, undermining or eliminating its nuclear program, continuing normalization with the Arab world, strengthening sovereignty in the Jordan Valley, and increasing settlement in the West Bank,” said Amir Avi, head of the “Amnon for Israel” movement, in an article on the Meda website, translated by“Arab21”,“If President Donald Trump is elected, the picture will be very clear for Israel, it is likely to continue on the path of isolating Iran, undermining or eliminating its nuclear program, continuing normalization with the Arab world, strengthening sovereignty in the Jordan Valley, and increasing settlement in the West Bank.”

He stressed that “Israel must absorb the next change in Washington, because it is no longer a mutually agreed between the two major parties in the United States, Republican and Democratic, on the contrary, but has become a contentious issue for many in their circles, and has become the subject of a deep and long-term dispute between them, and the way to deal with this reality is to create a system of interests and relations that overcome the difficulties and ideological change that the Democratic Party is going through, especially on a number of issues that may help to produce long-term interests between Washington and Tel Tel Aviv.
