Trump tweets, Biden releases statement on Pfizer’s corona vaccine announcement
Outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump and New President Joe Biden welcomed the news of Pfizer’s announcement of the success and effectiveness of the new CORONA virus vaccine with a 90% welcome and praise for the medical efforts during the past period Trump commented on pfizer’s vaccine in a tweet saying “The stock market has risen dramatically, a vaccine is coming soon. Report as 90% effective. Great news.”
Biden, on the contrary, issued a lengthy statement that read like this.
“This news follows a pre-announced schedule by industry officials who expected the vaccine to be approved by late November” “Even if this is achieved, and some Americans are vaccinated later this year, it will be several months before there will be widespread vaccination in this country,”
Biden said. “That’s why the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned this fall that in the near future, muzzle remains a stronger weapon against the virus than the vaccine,”
Biden said. “Today’s news is good news, but it does not change this fact America continues to lose more than 1,000 people a day because of COVID-19, and this number is rising and will continue to worsen unless we make progress in wearing muzzles and other immediate measures.”
The statement concluded by saying,
“ This is the reality now and for the next few months. Today’s announcement promises an opportunity to change that next year, but the tasks ahead now remain the same.”
