Biden threatens to take refuge in court over Trump’s refusal to concede defeat
U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has called for a lawsuit against the current administration led by Donald Trump for continuing to fail to recognize his election victory and to begin devolution proceedings.
At a delaware press conference, Biden said he may go to court against the Trump administration and institutions involved in the transfer of power.
At the same time, Biden acknowledged that legal action “will take a lot of time.” “We’re going to do more with our Republican colleagues now,” he said, in the House and Senate.
He added that Trump’s refusal to acknowledge the results of the recent presidential election was irresponsible.
“I think we’re seeing an incredibly irresponsible, unprecedentedly destructive message being sent to the rest of the world about how democracy works” in the United States, he said.
“I don’t know what his motives are, but I think that’s totally irresponsible.”
