FBI and Homeland Security Show Force in Washington

A column of FBI, Department of the Interior, and Department of Security agents wearing riot gear entered the Senate Office Building in Dirksen around 4:30 PM. Wednesday, Washington police officers headed to the Capitol Building in the Police Force in violent protests, looting and vandalism.

The sheriff ordered his officers to remain calm because he might go crazy.

“The FBI is deployed to assist our partners in the United States Capitol Police, upon request, in protecting federal property and public safety,” the FBI statement said.

The FBI did not say how many of its agents were deployed on the Capitol. But a former government official said that earlier on Wednesday all FBI agents in the Washington area had been alerted to the possibility of being summoned to central Washington.

A person was shot inside the Capitol during a violent protest.

Metropolitan Police Chief Robert J. Conte said on Wednesday that a person was shot inside the Capitol after a crowd of Trump supporters stormed the building. The Contee boss didn’t immediately provide more information about the person who was shot or the person’s condition

“I can confirm that a civilian was killed inside the Capitol,” the president of Congress said, adding that local police would lead the investigation.
